Mr. Healy engages in a general securities law and litigation practice. He has been in private practice in Westminster, Maryland since 1993. Prior to that, he worked as a Deputy Regional Counsel for a large broker-dealer on Wall Street and as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.
Mr. Healy's current practice focuses on a wide variety of litigation, regulatory and employment matters relating to the financial services industry. He has extensive experience and has represented dozens of corporate and individual clients in state and federal courts and in securities arbitration claims before FINRA (formerly the NASD and NYSE) and the AAA. He has also represented many securities industry professionals (registered representatives, investment advisors, and branch office managers) in regulatory inquiries and investigations, as well as employment and compensation disputes. Mr. Healy also represents clients in commercial litigation and employment matters.

- Secured a large, favorable settlement on behalf of an elderly woman and her family in an NASD arbitration claim against a large financial services company that concerned unsuitability and unauthorized trading of thinly traded speculative stocks.
- Represented a New Jersey businessman in an NASD arbitration claim that alleged the unauthorized trading of unsuitable, high risk options in his account held at a large financial services company. Negotiated and secured a favorable settlement on behalf of the client.
- Won large award on behalf of five financial advisors who were seeking to recover deferred compensation and other monies from their former employer, a large international financial services company, after a three day NASD arbitration hearing.
- Won a "zero" award in defense of a small Baltimore area broker-dealer and its financial advisor after a three day NASD arbitration hearing in which the Claimant alleged the unsuitability of annuities and mutual funds recommended to and purchased by her.
- Secured a favorable settlement on behalf of an institutional salesperson after the filing of an NASD arbitration claim against his former employer, a large, international financial services company. The claim sought to recover wages due under the Maryland Wage Payment Collection Law as well as other monies withheld by the firm.
- Secured a large favorable settlement on behalf of a Washington D.C. area couple in an NASD arbitration claim against a large financial services company that concerned the excessive trading of unsuitable stocks in their accounts.
- Represented a large financial services company on several cases against former financial advisors of the company who had defaulted on promissory notes.
- Acted as local counsel for a Chicago law firm representing a large financial services company in several U.S. District Court, District of Maryland, recruiting cases. Made oral arguments for and successfully obtained a temporary restraining order in each case.
- Represents branch office manager of a regional broker-dealer in an ongoing investigation conducted by the Securities Division of the Maryland Attorney General's Office
